My name is Gowtham Sathiyaseelan. I’m a young man who sees every day as a blessing and strives to make the most of it. Since I was a boy, fashion and clothing have always captured my attention. I’ve developed a focus and eye for detail and creation, where visual expression plays a key role.
Right now, I’m studying towards my bachelor’s degree in fashion design, while continuously pushing myself to grow in every aspect of the industry. My goal is to create garments in my way, pieces that allow my audience to build an emotional connection with what they wear.
In my work, I focus on materials with intention, prioritizing quality, texture, and sustainability through durability and strength, rather than only how the material was produced. For me, sustainability is also about longevity.
What matters most is how the wearer experiences the garment: that they feel comfortable, that the product fulfills its function, and that every detail and placement aligns naturally with their behavior. Ultimately, the garment should last.
When we create using resources taken from the earth, we carry a responsibility to make the most out of them before sending it back into the world.
I have a goal—and I’m going for it.
As an aspiring designer, if you see what I see, let’s connect. ☀️
