Kateřina Vágnerová

Hi, my name is Kateřina. I have been interested in art and design related subjects ever since I can remember. I come from Prague, Czech Republic, where I have been studying a fashion design degree for 3 years. I learned not only how to sew and construct patterns but also learned patience, precise craftmanship and perfected my sketching skills. Within my studies I had the opportunity to showcase my designs in four fashion shows, renting my garments for professional photoshoots and collaborating with other designers.

Studying in Denmark has taught me to be focused on the process of designing and generating ideas. It has helped me to explore my design identity and develop my creative skills.

When designing, I focus on silhouettes and organic shapes that define and play with the shapes of a human body. I work with variability, combining aspects of function, wearability and style. I design styles that are versatile and complimentary to each other.

I focus my inspiration around finding beauty in the uncommon and unexpected – combining values of self-love with natural imperfections. In my projects I usually work with contrasting darker themes, that I balance with a soft colour palette.
