Hi, my name is Marie, and I am a fashion designer from Prague. For the past seven years, I’ve been studying fashion design and patternmaking at Czech school VOŠON and SPŠO, which taught me a lot about precision and craftsmanship that have become the core of my work.
My design process usually begins with finding a theme that resonates with me, often rooted in movies, historical elements, or architecture.
These starting points help me create a visual and emotional direction that guides my design process.
Studying in Herning opened up new ways of thinking, showing me how experimentation and playful research can lead to discovering new, interesting silhouettes and ideas.
I often look to classic menswear pieces like shirts, denim, or leather jackets, using their structure as a base to reshape proportions and develop new forms. I prefer working mainly with natural materials, and denim remains my long-time favourite for its durability and way how it develops character over time.
As a designer, I aim to connect thoughtful technique with personal narrative, creating garments that feel considered, expressive and grounded in strong making.
