The Norwegian womenswear designer Ada Moen was born and raised in Oslo, Norway.

Balancing between contemporary and timeless, her designs are inspired by art and obscure curation. She designs harmonious collections challenging the basic assumptions by twisting the norms with more than what first meets the eye, inviting you in for a second look. Her minimalist aesthetic, blended with a natural color palette, holds a big focus on natural fibers.  Ada’s work is deeply influenced by her background in tailoring, developing her collections through details, fit and texture with a focus on intentionality. Her work is led by playing with textures and textile experiments, with a fondness on hand knits.

Sewing her first dress at age 10, Ada has been sewing for 13 years, and studying fashion from different angels for the past 7 years and counting. At age 19, she was granted a woman’s tailoring certificate and discovered truly how much she wanted to learn about the fashion industry and fashion design after spending six months working as a woman’s tailor. 

VIA has been an arena for her to experiment and develop into the best fashion designer she can be. Ada aims to be part of something bigger than herself.
